From Pascagoula, Mississippi, Reid Black is a graduate of UMS-Wright Preparatory School and a senior in the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, pursuing a double major in Biochemistry and Philosophy. Playing the violin is a favorite pastime of his, and he performs regularly with the LOU Symphony Orchestra and University of Mississippi Theater Department. This year, Reid is returning to work as a Community Assistant for the second time. Outside of class, his involvements include Pride Network and College Democrats. After completing his undergraduate studies, he plans to attend medical school to ultimately become a psychiatrist. In his leisure time, he likes to read about politics, watch Netflix, see live music, and spend time with his friends.
